Community Dog Rules & Etiquette
Jordanelle Ridge

At Jordanelle Ridge, we’re fortunate to have many dog owners and dog lovers in our community. Pets bring joy and companionship, but they also come with responsibilities. To keep our neighborhood enjoyable and safe for everyone, it’s important that we all do our part to minimize common dog-related issues such as unwanted encounters, excessive barking, lawn damage, and waste left behind.

Our community’s governing documents (Master CC&Rs Section 7.05) outline a few simple but important rules:

1. Dogs must be leashed and supervised at all times when outside the home.

Keeping dogs on a leash ensures the safety of both pets and people and greatly reduces the chance of negative encounters. Even well-behaved dogs can react unpredictably in new situations. When your dog is leashed and under your supervision, you can correct unwanted behavior immediately and prevent problems before they happen. This guideline applies to all pets, though dogs are most often the focus.

2. Owners must pick up after their dogs.

Just as we clean up after ourselves, it’s important to clean up after our pets. Allowing dogs to relieve themselves without supervision often results in waste left behind for others to deal with. In a close-knit neighborhood like Jordanelle Ridge, that quickly becomes unpleasant for everyone. By keeping dogs leashed and supervised, cleanup becomes simple and ensures our shared spaces remain clean and welcoming.

We kindly ask all pet owners to follow these rules out of respect for your neighbors and the community. Together, we can keep Jordanelle Ridge a safe, clean, and enjoyable place for people and pets alike.

Thank you for your cooperation and consideration.
